When people think of fashion a few names generally come to mind, and Gucci is undoubtedly one of them. While the official name for the Italian company is The House of Gucci, virtually everyone knows them by their shorter moniker. From humble beginnings in the early 1920s, the company has grown into an international powerhouse, posting more then 2.2 billion euro in revenue for 2008.
Italy is known as one of the world’s fashion centers, and Gucci is the country’s best-selling brand. While there are a myriad of Gucci products available, they are probably best known for their Gucci handbags. It is fairly easy to identify genuine Gucci handbags by their masterful craftsmanship and trademark GG logo.
